Offensive Line

The biggest weakness from the 2017 squad could be the same in 2018 if Jim Turner isn’t able to work some magic with this group. Outside of Erik McCoy at center, and perhaps Connor Lanfear at one of the guard spots, the offensive line didn’t play well enough last season to secure any spots.

Koda Martin transferring left an opening at the left tackle position. If we’re being honest, he probably would have had to win the job this offseason anyways. It leaves the door open for Dan Moore, Kellen Diesch, Carson Green or Keaton Sutherland to take over at left tackle.

One of the other guard spots and the right tackle spot are also someone’s to win. Sutherland played both tackle and guard in 2017, so he could slide inside again if Green and Moore emerge as the favorites to start at tackle.

Colton Prater could also occupy one of the guard spots, and the Aggies have young blood like Grayson Reed and true freshman Colten Blanton who are long shots to start but could push the competition.

There is a lot of uncertainty along the line right now and it will be up to Turner to figure out the best possible combination in camp.
