Don’t make mistakes

This goes without saying basically any time you play a football game, but the team that wins the turnover battle most often wins the game. It likely won’t be a determining factor in this game, but this is more than just about turnovers.

Yes, the Aggies need to take care of the ball, but they also need to avoid the mental errors that can keep a lesser opponent hanging around. Convert on third down, get off the field on third down, execute on special teams to win field position, and don’t commit stupid 15-yard penalties or get ejected for targeting.

The talent on A&M will be overwhelming and should alone be enough for this to be a blowout. But if you give a team any reason to believe in themselves, they will latch onto it and it could turn out poorly. Arkansas State ringing any bells?

The Aggies just need to play within themselves, or any other cliche of that ilk. Be smart and do what the coaches are asking and this should be a cake-walk.
