2. Drew Lock – Missouri

The most prolific passer in the SEC from a statistical stand point is Drew Lock. He’s one of the candidates for the Heisman trophy due to the ridiculous numbers he puts up. Lock completed 57.8 percent of his passes for 3,964 yards, 44 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 2017. He accounted for the bulk of Missouri’s offense.

That has carried over to the 2018 season. He’s got 74.2 percent completions for 687 yards and an SEC-leading eight touchdowns through two weeks. Even though these numbers have come against UT-Martin and Wyoming, Lock is expected to be this good even when the conference slate begins.

The Tigers travel to Purdue this weekend before taking on Georgia next week. This two-week stretch will be huge for Lock’s Heisman hopes, and also a good test for his future prospects as NFL scouts will definitely be watching.
