12. Terry Wilson – Kentucky
Wouldn’t you know it, the guy who beat Franks in Week 2 is Kentucky quarterback Terry Wilson, who made a few big throws in the game to help seal the victory. He ended up 11-for-16 with 151 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 105 yards on the ground.
Kentucky hasn’t asked much of Wilson so far this season. He only has 34 passing attempts, while the team has run the ball 84 times in their 2-0 start to the 2018 season. They’ve averaged 7.2 yards per carry so far, so there’s a good chance they will stick to that plan.
Wilson can beat you in multiple ways and is a dangerous playmaker. Kentucky might not win any more games against ranked opponents this season, but they will be competitive because of Wilson’s ability.
Some of you may know Wilson even if you didn’t watch any Kentucky games this season. He played for Garden City Community College, which was heavily featured in the most recent season of the popular Netflix documentary series Last Chance U. They were the rival to Independence.
