5. Kellen Mond has 300 yards passing and 100 yards rushing

This one doesn’t feel too bold from the 300 yards passing part. Arkansas is No. 104 in the country giving up 270.5 yards per game and over 11 yards per completion. Colorado State’s KJ Carter-Samuels threw for 389 against this defense. North Texas QB Mason Fine had 281 yards in their blowout victory as well.

Mond is much better than both of these guys, and he’s already had success against the Razorbacks in his career. He passed for 216 yards and ran for 109 in a shootout with them last season.

Fisher has turned Mond into a much better passer than he was a season ago, so if this game is even remotely close I have faith Mond will achieve these numbers. The only thing that might slow him down is if the score is a blowout by the third quarter, which is entirely possible.

The quarterback whisperer label for Fisher is no joke. The way Mond hangs in the pocket with poise and guts and delivers the ball with accuracy is night and day from his performance a year ago. While Arkansas held opposing quarterbacks to under 200 yards in a win over Eastern Illinois and the loss to Auburn, they won’t be able to keep Mond down.
