No. 5 LSU Tigers at. No. 22 Florida Gators

LSU is one of the bigger surprises of the season, having remained undefeated and climbed up to the Top 5 after beginning the season on the fringe of the Top 25. But I get the feeling their wins over Miami and Auburn aren’t going to look as good as they currently do when the season ends.

Florida always plays LSU tough at home. They have bounced back with wins at Tennessee and at Mississippi State after their loss to Kentucky. This game could very well come down to the last couple of possessions. Even if LSU pulls it out I believe Florida will keep it very close and cover.

The Tigers continue their solid play with another big conference road win. Quarterback Joe Burrow continues to play well and do just enough to scrap out a victory.

While Florida played well against Mississippi State last week, they don’t have the athletes on offense or defense that LSU has. LSU’s offense has been decent this year, and their defense has been stellar. Florida, however, is better on both sides of the ball than many people give them credit for. I think that this game stays close until the second half, when LSU will pull away.

LSU has gotten off to a much better start than most people predicted, and even though Florida has bounced back after suffering a loss at home to Kentucky, they simply don’t have the offense to compete with LSU’s defense. LSU will win and cover.
