No. 13 Kentucky Wildcats at Texas A&M Aggies

Saturday, October 6 at 6 pm CT; Kyle Field; College Station, TX

The Aggies’ high-powered offense meets a tough defense in Week 6. The Wildcats come in averaging just 12.6 points allowed per game and the Aggies are averaging over 500 yards and 36 points per game. Something will have to give.

This is another that will come down to the wire. Kentucky will milk the clock as much as they can with the running game, but in the end it will come down to Kellen Mond and a balanced attack that will take down the Wildcats

In a game that the Aggies need at home, Kellen Mond and the defense keep the Wildcats down and win a critical game over an undefeated team.

This is a night game at home for Texas A&M against a top 15 opponent in Kentucky. Texas A&M’s run defense has been impressive this season, and so I expect them to be fairly effective against Kentucky’s run-heavy offense. I predict that Kentucky’s Benny Snell will be held to just under 100 rushing yards.

While Kentucky might try and exploit A&M’s secondary, their passing game hasn’t been very effective so far this season. Assuming Kellen Mond looks better this week than he did against Arkansas last week, this is a game that Texas A&M should and will win in a fairly low-scoring game.

Kentucky has surprised many after starting off their season 5-0 with big wins over Florida and Mississippi State. Terry Wilson Jr has played as well as any quarterback in the SEC not named Tua. Texas A&M will win this game, but Kentucky will cover.
