Texas A&M Aggies at South Carolina Gamecocks

Saturday, October 13 at 2:30 pm CT; Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, SC

TV: SEC Network; Line: Texas A&M -2; Over/Under: 52.5

Since we’ve been doing this, none of us has picked against the Aggies. There is a lot to like about Texas A&M in this matchup, specifically the Ags’s rush offense against South Carolina’s terrible rush defense. However, an equalizer could be the Gamecocks’ outside weapons against a leaky A&M secondary that ranks No. 96 in the nation in passing yards allowed.

Call it a reverse jinx attempt, or maybe I’m just irrationally worried about this game, but I see South Carolina pulling it out in a shootout. Here’s to hoping I’m wrong.

The Aggies visit Columbia and come out with another big win. The defense holds Deebo Samuel and the Gamecock offense down.

It’s Coach Fisher’s first year at the helm of the Texas A&M football program, and the Aggies have fielded a really solid team this season. A&M’s rushing attack and run defense have been nothing short of superb.

Texas A&M matches up really well with South Carolina, and I expect A&M to control this game through dominating the time of possession and significantly out-gaining South Carolina on the ground in terms of yardage.

It is no secret that this will be a huge test for Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies as they play the first of three consecutive away games. This should be the easiest of the three, but that doesn’t mean it will be easy. Coming off close wins vs Arkansas and Kentucky, I think Texas A&M squeezes out another narrow victory.

Texas A&M kicks off a three game road stretch with a visit to their historic, longtime SEC East rival South Carolina…The Aggies haven’t lost to the Gamecocks since they began playing in 2014, and they won’t start now.

The A&M offense doesn’t come into the game firing on all cylinders, but this team put up more points on Alabama than anyone but Arkansas (somehow) and held the Crimson Tide to their lowest point total of the season (45).

The Gamecocks come into the game boasting a 3-2 record, with losses to Georgia and Kentucky. This game will go much like A&M/Kentucky, with the Aggies getting the close win (no overtime needed).
