Florida Gators at Georgia Bulldogs

Saturday, October 27 at 2:30pm CT; TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, FL

TV: CBS; Line: Georgia -6.5; Over/Under: 52

Jeff Shull

Florida has bounced back with four conference wins after losing at home to Kentucky — three of those came on the road. They beat No. 5 LSU at home pretty handily. Having said all of that, this is a statement game for Georgia. They need a big performance to get back in the playoff picture. The Bulldogs will come out firing on all cylinders.

In the best game of the weekend, Georgia responds with a big win and will set up a big game with Kentucky next week.

Florida may be ranked No. 9, but I think the Gators are fools gold. I believe Georgia will bounce back after getting dominated by LSU. Georgia will win convincingly and hopefully surpass Texas in the rankings after doing so.

This game is a top ten match-up, and it will most likely end up being the most entertaining game of the weekend. Even though Georgia is only ranked two spots higher than Florida, they are considered to be touchdown favorites.

I’m calling the upset. Georgia showed weaknesses last week in their loss to LSU that Florida can and will exploit. Florida’s offense is fast and physical, and it has a good mixture of rushing and passing. Because of this, Georgia will basically have to pick their poison. Georgia’s offensive struggles last week gives me reason to believe Florida has enough athletes on defense to give the Bulldogs issues. Florida is on a roll right now, and I expect them to win this game close and enter the playoff discussion.
