Stock Down: Kellen Mond

After getting off to a good start early this season and receiving praise from most, it appears that Aggie football fans are beginning to turn on quarterback Kellen Mond. He failed to complete over 50-percent of his pass attempts vs Auburn and ended the game with a 44.3 quarterback rating.

It appeared that Mond had made great strides in his game earlier this year, but it seems that some of his old habits have resurfaced. He still struggles when deciding whether to take off and run and has become increasingly inaccurate over the past few games. If Mond does not get back to playing like he did earlier this season, a change at QB could be coming.

Despite back-to-back disappointing performances, I think Fisher will stick with Mond for their upcoming game against Ole Miss. But Mond will be on a much shorter leash going forward. And it would not surprise me if Fisher gives Nick Starkel a few series at quarterback.
