Stock Down: Coaching

This goes for all the coaches, including the head coach, offensive and defensive coordinators, and position coaches. Texas A&M football has underachieved as a whole this year, and that includes the play calling and coaching.

Early in the year it felt like Texas A&M had hit the coaching jackpot. The offense was finally multidimensional, and the defense was playing as well as they had in years. Unfortunately, this has not lasted.

Offensively, Texas A&M has not been able to consistently move the ball or score points. Fisher has had some questionable play calls, specifically on third downs. This includes his decision to throw the ball on the most important third down of the game vs Auburn.

Defensively, the play calling has been fine, but the coaching has not been up to par. I believe that the defensive backs inability to play the ball is a coaching issue. It certainly appears that the DBs are making no effort to turn their heads back towards the quarterback while in coverage. This has happened so often that I personally think that this is how they have been coached to cover, and clearly it is not working.

Next. Kellen Mond was the problem in Auburn loss. dark

If Texas A&M football wants to get back on track and secure a somewhat respectable bowl game, they must be better in all facets. And that starts up top with the coaches.
