Mike Evans made a name for himself while playing for Texas A&M football, and now he’s helping Jimbo Fisher recruit with this incredible video.

It’s not a stretch to say Mike Evans is the best wide receiver to ever play for Texas A&M football. He doesn’t have the career records of a Christian Kirk, but he set the single season record for yards with 1,394 and touchdowns with 12 in the 2013 season. He also has the school record for yards in a game when he went off for 11 catches, 287 yards and four touchdowns against Auburn.

Evans has gone on to have incredible success in the NFL. You could make the case he is quietly having one of the best starts to a career in NFL history. He became just the third player to start his career with five 1,000 yard seasons, joining Randy Moss and A.J. Green.

So, when he talks, football players listen. That’s why the video he took for Texas A&M football is so important.

In the video below, he says “choosing Texas A&M was one of the best decisions I ever made” in a congratulatory message to #GigEmGang19 recruits who are expected to sign starting tomorrow morning.

Jimbo clearly doesn’t need the help from former players. He has the No. 3 recruiting class in the 2019 rankings without it. But don’t kid yourself — high school players see this. It can only help. Maybe a 2020 or 2021 guy is on the fence and this pushes him over to the maroon and white. You never know.

Also, shouts to Evans for the fantastic Harry Potter shirt depicting all of the four houses of Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. This video was amazing in so many ways already, and the shirt put it over the top.
