Calzada might be one of the more underrated players in the 2019 class. He was invited to the Under Armour All America Game along with a few other top Aggies recruits despite being ranked No. 483 and the No. 19 pro-style quarterback in the 247 Sports Composite. Georgia pushed hard for Calzada when Justin Fields entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal, but Calzada decided against his local school and stuck with Jimbo.

All you have to do is look at how Fisher raved about Calzada after he signed to get excited for the future.

“He’s been my guy from the beginning. I truly believe Zach is as good as any quarterback in the United States. His arm talent and ability to run and create plays and make guys around him [better] like an old school quarterback. He can do everything.”

Here is why the background information on Fisher as a quarterback guru is pertinent. Anytime he says something like the above about a quarterback in particular, you have to take notice.

Calzada enrolled early and has an outside chance to be the backup, but he’s more likely to redshirt in his first year.
