3.  Alabama Crimson Tide — October 12, 2019

So, the team with a coach who has brought in the No. 1 recruiting class in four out of the last five years is somehow third on this list? Welcome to the gauntlet. It’s going to be a fun ride. Bring popcorn.

A&M has not defeated Alabama since doing so at Tuscaloosa with Johnny Football in 2012. They came close in a shootout in 2013 and had the eventual national champs on the ropes at home in the 2017 matchup when Kellen Mond was a true freshman.

You can see a pattern here. A&M can play Alabama tough when the game is in Kyle Field. That’s the one thing setting Alabama just a hair under the next two games.

However, the explosive Alabama offense is still going to be a hell of a thing to slow down. Heisman front runner Tua Tagovailoa returns with fellow top overall pick candidate Jerry Jeudy, who is definitely the best wide receiver in the country returning. This combination gave Alabama a fearsome attack they had not showcased under Saban. They can beat you in every way on offense, and that’s terrifying.
