1. at Georgia Bulldogs — November 23, 2019

Hold on, didn’t Clemson and Alabama play for the College Football Playoff National Championship, and didn’t Clemson boat race Alabama, and didn’t Georgia get beat by Texas in the Sugar Bowl?! All things are true, but the thing that sets this matchup apart from the others is this is unfamiliar territory.

Yes, playing at Clemson is new for anyone not named Jimbo Fisher, but even he hasn’t faced this Georgia team in his head coaching career. This will be the first time Texas A&M has had to play Georgia. When you add in the fact this game is in Athens, and the talent level of the three top teams on this list is basically even, you can see why this would be the toughest game on Texas A&M’s schedule.

As difficult as playing Clemson in South Carolina will be, at least Fisher is familiar with his opponent. This was evident when the Aggies played the Tigers to a two-point loss in the 2018 matchup.

Georgia returns quarterback Jake Fromm and have a plethora of elite five star recruits chomping at the bit to get their opportunity. They finished No. 1 and No. 2 in the 2018 and 2019 classes, appeared in the National Championship game two years ago and lost the SEC Championship to Alabama last year.

2019 is obviously going to be a tough year for Texas A&M football. We may look back at it as the turning point of the Jimbo Fisher era. Or it could be just another year. We shall see.
