Texas A&M Football is coming off of one of their best seasons in recent memory. They’re winning games and players are buying into Jimbo Fisher’s relatively new system. This is having a huge effect on recruiting for the Aggies’, a football program that holds the 7th-best incoming class of freshmen in the country.

So while there is a lot of good football in the rear-view mirror, looking forward toward 2021 could be even more exciting for football fans. It starts with incoming players to fill gaps left behind by some key pieces of this team.

Thankfully for Texas A&M, they kept a decent amount of their roster intact through the offseason. Enough of their roster to hold onto the 19th spot in Football Outsiders’ returning talent index.

Texas A&M football newcomers will have to step up in 2021

They’ll look to carry this momentum into next season, but there are some key incoming players who could make a profound impact on an already strong TAMU football team.

Jimbo Fisher has 24 players who will be joining this team for the first time in 2021. There will be 15 players who were four-star recruits in high school and a single five-star guy. Five of these players were ranked in the top 100 of their class.

It’s clear that Fisher is looking to build from one of the best talent pools in the country, but it’s unclear which of these players will get immediate playing time in College Station. That said, now is not the time to question Fisher’s coaching tactics.

At the present moment, Texas A&M football fans can sit back and watch this team get to work. Here are the 3 most important Aggies newcomers for the 2021-22 season.
