The Texas A&M Football team could suffer from offseason losses

Thankfully for Jimbo Fisher, his team’s losses can only make this team so much worse. Allow me to explain.

Even though this team will suffer some key losses, they can’t possibly regress that much. For starters, the defense guided this team. Even though the offense will be undergoing an overhaul, the defense remains mostly intact. They’ll miss their top defensive tackle and inside linebacker, but these are spots that can be filled on a unit that prides itself as one of the best in the country.

Because of this, the team can only regress so much. Even if the offense is a total dud, the defense will carry the load.

That said, the offense could be pretty bad. The Aggies will be losing their star quarterback and four offensive linemen, so the offense will, at best, be a project. Pair that with a worrying core of receivers and this offense could be a disaster.

If this happens, it’ll be extremely upsetting to watch such a strong defense go to waste. That said, the likelihood of this scenario playing out seems unlikely considering the talent that is ready to step in on the offensive end.

Worst Case Scenario Outcome: 7-6, Bowl loss
