The Texas A&M Football team hasn’t been an elite program in a while. That said, Jimbo Fisher may be able to bring them back to that level. If he does, he’ll need an elite quarterback to guide them on their journey.

Lucky for the Aggies, Texas A&M has been a breeding ground for quarterback talent at the college football level. Even on off-years, this team has produced top talent for NFL scouts to look at in preparation for the draft.

And that’s the scary part — they haven’t even begun to tap out their full potential. Kellen Mond was a strong quarterback, but Fisher will look to build off of his career and bring in an even more talented passer to push the Aggies to the next level.

The next Texas A&M all-time great quarterback could be starting next season, as the Aggies are amidst one of the more interesting quarterback competitions in recent memory.

In the fall, Jimbo Fisher will decide on a starter between Haynes King, Zach Calzada, and Eli Stowers. Each of these players brings strengths of their own, and while King is considered a frontrunner, it’s anyone’s job for the taking.

Hopefully, the healthy competition will get the best out of whoever becomes the starter, giving Texas A&M another great quarterback to watch for the entirety of the 2021 season.
