Texas A&M Football opponent No. 7: @ Missouri Tigers

Normally, this would probably be looked at as a really tough matchup for Texas A&M. Despite shortcomings in recent years, the Missouri Tigers have an extremely strong football program and will put up a fight against anybody.

Last year, the Tigers finished third in the SEC East at 5-5. Most notably, they didn’t spend any time in the top 25, which they normally do, even if it doesn’t last. Second-year head coach Eliah Drinkwitz will look to get Mizzou back into the national spotlight, so the SEC should lookout for a motivated Tigers team.

That said, the Aggies’ game against the Alabama Crimson Tide a week earlier may serve as a metaphorical batting weight. This means that their “swing” will be at full power against the Missouri Tigers. I expect Texas A&M to win this in pretty convincing fashion.

Even so, this could be an extremely competitive matchup. These are two teams that have played at a similar level in recent years, so there’s no reason that it’ll be an instant blowout. Expect a close first half, followed by the Aggies running away with it in the second portion of the game.

Prediction: Win, 6-1
