Texas A&M Football uniform No. 1: All black 2012

The designers hit the nail on the head with these Texas A&M Football uniforms. They’re very similar to the last uniforms mentioned, but hold the edge in simplicity, a category that holds high value in Texas A&M Football fans’ hearts.

Unlike the last uniforms, the designers were also able to keep the Aggies’ maroon colors more involved. If there’s something that the previous look was missing, it was Texas A&M’s signature color.

Even though I’m not a fan of the double shoulder stripes, they look great in this nearly all-black jersey combination. While maintaining a blackout look, the uniforms are able to incorporate just enough of the maroon to look nice.

That said, there’s no hidden design here. Rather than a scaly texture, these are jet black from head to toe.

Another important aspect of this uniform is the black helmet with a white TAMU logo, featuring the state of Texas outlining it all. It’s something that we’ve seen on Aggie uniforms before, but this time, they used it well.

These will go down as the greatest uniforms worn in the past decade by the Texas A&M Football team.
