You can say what you want about the Texas A&M Football team’s performance over the past decade, but one thing remains clear — Aggie football players make it to the NFL and thrive when they get there.

Texas A&M is virtually a lock to have multiple players selected to the NFL Draft on any given year, which opens the door for a lot of success at the next level.

There are two parts to this. Firstly, Texas A&M has always been an extremely attractive destination for top-ranked high school recruits. Even in down years, the Aggies have no issue bringing the best players in the country to come play in College Station.

It helps that they’re in the most competitive state in the country when it comes to high school football. But being there means they have competition, which the Aggies haven’t let bother them when it comes to bringing in talent. This continues to translate to the NFL.

Texas A&M Football’s quality of talent at the next level is unmatched

When you go into details about where Texas A&M ranks among college football teams in terms of the number of players in the NFL, their positioning is a bit underwhelming. In 2020, the Aggies had 27 players in the league, which puts them tied for 15th in the country. It’s not a bad mark, but something that the Aggies will look to improve upon.

That said, the quality of talent that they have sent to the next level is something that goes under the radar. Even with a lower total number of players in the league, some of the most dominant NFL players played their college football in College Station.

Today, we’ll be looking at the top 5 former Texas A&M Football players in the NFL right now.
