Former Texas A&M Football DE Myles Garrett is one of the best players in the league

It doesn’t seem that far-fetched, but how often do you see a guy who is extremely hyped up in high school, lives up to the hype in college, and then continues to the NFL, where he tears apart the league?

Well, that’s exactly what Myles Garrett did. Coming in as a 5-star recruit and the second-highest rated prospect in his class. He still stands as a top-25 all-time prospect. He would not disappoint at Texas A&M.

He would earn back-to-back First-Team All-American honors in his first two seasons with the Aggies. In his freshman year, he would be recognized with the Bill Willis Trophy, given to the best defensive lineman in the country. These two seasons would be good enough to get him on the NFL’s radar, where he would be taken with the top overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns.

Since joining the Browns, Garrett has been nothing short of elite. He made the PFWA All-Rookie team in his first season and follow that with a Pro Bowl year in his sophomore campaign. In 2020, Garrett earned First-Team All-Pro honors in a season where he recorded 48 tackles, 12 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles.

He is a force in the league and if he continues playing at this level, he could become one of the best defensive linemen of all time.
