The Texas A&M Football team sent one of the more underrated players in the 2021 NFL Draft to the Los Angeles Rams. That player is Bobby Brown III, who was an anchor for a Texas A&M defensive line that may have been the best in the country.

Brown may have gone under the radar at the radar as a defensive tackle, but his performances on the field did all the talking when it came to impressing NFL scouts. Even though he was drafted in the fourth round, it was generally assumed that he would be taken earlier, making him a steal for the Rams.

Brown was an elite defensive tackle in his final year in College Station, leading the team in sacks and coming second in tackles for loss. And at 6-4 and 321 pounds, he is built for immediate NFL playing time, even if the young football player is only 20 years old.

The Former Texas A&M Football DT got to meet one of his sports heroes

Like anybody else, college football players have sports heroes too. For some, it’s Michael Jordan or Tom Brady. For Bobby Brown III, it’s Aaron Donald, who just became his teammate on the Los Angeles Rams.

Brown didn’t hide this at all, as he was quoted giving nothing but respect to arguably the best defender in the NFL. Here are a couple of quotes from Brown about Donald via B/R Gridiron.

As you can see, Bobby Brown essentially said that he’ll do anything that Aaron Donald tells him to, which may be a smart move for the young rookie. If he can begin to develop some of the habits of the future Hall of Famer, he will begin to rapidly improve in the league.

Aggie fans should be excited that their former defensive tackle will have an opportunity to learn from one of the best players in the game today. Even though he wasn’t one of the very top picks in his class, he still has an extremely bright future ahead of him.

Time will tell, but the stars are aligning for Bobby Brown III to become a star in the NFL.
