The Texas A&M Football team could turn the tide against Alabama in 2021

Looking at the Aggies’ results against the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2020 will do your confidence no favors at all. The Texas A&M football team took one of their worst losses in the Jimbo Fisher era, picking up their only loss of the season by a jarring 28-point margin.

In this same game, however, Texas A&M may have gained a little bit of hope for their next matchup against the Crimson Tide.

While Haynes King wasn’t in the game for long, his passing totals were unimpressive. He only completed 1-3 passes while throwing an interception. But that wasn’t the exciting area.

The promising part of this game was the fact that Alabama had no answer for King’s rushing ability. In the same small sample, we saw King rush for a team-high 43 yards on just five runs, including a 22-yard explosion.

Nick Saban won’t be able to stuff the run and stop the pass in 2021 and call it a day. Instead, he’ll have to find away to contain King on the ground. In doing so, the Texas A&M Football team will have more options at receiver, where they may be able to match Alabama’s talent.

Pair this with the fact that the Aggies return a lot of talent and the Crimson Tide don’t, and this season’s game should make for an interesting one.
