The Texas A&M Football team is one of the many college football programs that will be hugely benefitting from college football’s new NIL rules. In years past, student-athletes couldn’t make any money, so any deals had to be under the table.

Now, any money exchanges will be happening in plain sight. We’re already witnessing one of these with Texas A&M Football runningback Isaiah Spiller and safety Demani Richardson. According to TexAgs, the two Aggie standouts will be part of an event sponsored by GreenPrint Real Estate in partnership with TexAgs.

This will earn each player $10,000, making it one of the more noteworthy NIL deals in the state thus far. To earn the money, the players will be interviewed and participate in the event, which will likely be a learning process for both parties.

Here’s what TexAgs Co-Owner and Executive Editor said about the deal.

"“Our goal is and always has been to bring Aggies the very best in coverage of Texas A&M athletics,”"

He continued, explaining the importance of innovating his sports coverage.

"“For us, that means continuing to find innovative new ways to cover Aggie sports. We’re excited about the ways the NIL changes will allow us to feature Texas A&M athletes, continue to push into new areas of content creation for our subscribers, and expand our work with sponsors.”"

Hopefully, the Texas A&M Football team will continue to produce on the field

The downsides to players being allowed to earn money are scarce. On a large scale, it’s hard to complain about it at all. The players earn money for the universities and NCAA every single year, so they are entitled to their share of the earnings.

That said, players could eventually lose focus on their on-field duties.

Isaiah Spiller and Demani Richardson are both extremely hard-working players, so this shouldn’t be a worry for either of them. If these two Aggies perform at a high level in 2021-22, the Texas A&M Football team should be in good shape.

Last year, Spiller rushed for over 1,000 yards and 9 touchdowns in the shortened season. With a new quarterback under center in 2021 and a full schedule in play, he’ll look to explode onto the scene as the SEC’s leading rusher.

Next. Jaylon Jones will lead the team in interceptions in 2021-22. dark

Richardson, on the other hand, has accumulated over 100 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and a pair of interceptions in his two years with the Aggies. He’ll look to have another dominating defensive season in 2021.
