Texas A&M Football: 3 keys to beat the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2021
As the old saying goes “To be the best, you have to beat the best”. Not many games are generating more attention and buzz than Alabama coming to Kyle Field to take on the Texas A&M Football team on October 9th. As we all know, Alabama rarely loses. With the Crimson Tide coming off another undefeated year, you have to wonder what this year is going to look like for them, as they are losing loads of talent in positions that leadership and experience are very important.
Alabama’s Defense will be top-notch getting back 8 out of the 11 starters as well as netting a top-50 recruit in 2019 Henry To’o To’o from Tennessee. Add on to the fact they only lost a single coach on the defensive side of the ball from last year and I believe this defense will be deep. They should bounce back from their lackluster performance last year where they finished 32nd in total defense.
The Texas A&M Football team should pounce on a questionable Alabama offense
The offense is as big as a question mark as you can get. Losing Waddle, Jones, Smith, Harris, and breaking in a new offensive coordinator could lead to some growing pains, especially early on in the season. It seems like Alabama is set to reload this year, just like every year, so I am not going to come out saying they will not be good offensively but it will not be as prolific as it was last year.
It seems pretty consistent with the teams that have beaten Saban in the past on what A&M will need to do this year to pull out a win. Thankfully having Bama at home is a huge boost in chances as it will be deafening in the stadium and it is halfway through the season so they will have time to get their team ready. But here are my 3 keys that A&M needs to do to win on October 9th.
