Limit explosive plays

Alabama will have a lot to work through for the next 3 months before arriving at Kyle Field. Breaking in a new Quarterback will never be easy, but doing it in front of 102,700 fans shaking the stadium and probably the toughest team on your schedule is never easy.

There are 2 ways here that A&M will need to execute flawlessly.

The first one is getting to the quarterback. A&M will need to bring the heat and lay some hits on Alabamas starting quarterback. Rattling him early is key in this game as you want to overwhelm the young passer and make him think he’s going to be hit every single play. With how much talent A&M has in the trenches, this should not be as difficult against ‘Bama as it usually is.

The second way is you cannot let any Tide wide receivers or running backs get past the safeties. Alabama is not the same team that we are used to, as they have shifted from a ground and pound game to more of a passing friendly team. Making those tackles at first contact and preventing the 20+ yard bombs will be the only way Texas A&M can beat Alabama. Unfortunately, as we know, once the Tide gets going, they will be rolling.
