Underrated Texas A&M Football Player No. 2: OT Jahmir Johnson

A lot of the focus this offseason has fallen on the losses on Texas A&M’s offensive line when, in reality, the additions may even improve a few spots.

Specifically, one of those additions goes by the name of Jahmir Johnson, an offensive tackle who was formerly on the Tennesee Football team. Johnson has had a long path to College Station, coming all the way from the ranks of JUCO football.

After spending three seasons with Tennessee, Johnson decided to transfer, where he would elect to go to Texas A&M. After that, we didn’t really hear much about him.

That said, with four open slots on the offensive line, Johnson will likely fill in at the tackle spot opposite Kenyon Green. With Green being one of the best offensive linemen in the entire country, Johnson was always destined to be overlooked. That said, he’s arguably the second-best offensive lineman on this team and the Aggies shouldn’t have any issues containing edge rushers.

Look for this 6-5 offensive tackle to have a great year, even if his performances go under the radar.
