The preseason honors keep rolling in for the Texas A&M Football team and USA Today’s preseason All-American team is no exception. This time around, the Aggies had three players listed among the best names in college football.

There won’t be any surprises when discovering that those players are DeMarvin Leal, Kenyon Green, and Jalen Wydermyer. Those three Aggies are generally expected to be first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft. This is not their first rodeo when it comes to preseason honors.

Today, I’m going to be ranking each of these players based on how likely they are to become earn All-American honors by the end of the upcoming season. Without further ado, here are Texas A&M’s All-Americans, ranked.

The Texas A&M Football team’s defensive All-American is the least proven

3.) DeMarvin Leal: It almost feels wrong to rank DeMarvin Leal in the last position of any list. That said, he has a long way to go before he becomes an All-American, as he doesn’t have a true superstar season under his belt.

Last season, Leal put together a 7-tackle for loss, 3-sack season that got the hype train rolling for the defensive lineman in Aggieland. Without Bobby Brown III and Buddy Johnson around, the role of defensive superstar is open for the taking. If he wants to achieve All-American status, he’ll have to see a huge jump in his defensive statistics.

One factor that is on Leal’s side is the fact that McKinnley Jackson’s status is up in the air after his arrest and suspension were announced last week.
