Texas A&M Football: 3 changes to expect without Micheal Clemons
The Texas A&M Football team’s young players won’t have a leader on the field
The biggest impact of Micheal Clemons’ absence in the immediate future is the fact that this team will not have its primary leader on the field. In four of the five games that he played in during the 2020 season, Clemons was a team captain.
As things stand, it’s unclear how long Clemons will be out. Still, with a handful of new players assimilating themselves into the rotation this season, his value was higher than ever to this Texas A&M Football team.
It won’t be outwardly obvious but this will cause issues for Texas A&M. The team will have a new starter on the defensive line in McKinnley Jackson, the other player on the team who has been arrested in the past couple of weeks. Even though he has a solid amount of experience, it helps to have experienced guys on the edge to help on the field.
Still, this won’t be the worst setback in the world — at worst, we’ll see some early-season disorganization before Clemons’ presumed return.
