Texas A&M Football, Week 1 Bold Prediction No. 2: Aggies will score over 60 points

The last time the Texas A&M Football team scored over 60 points, it came against the Lamar Cardinals, a team that plays in the Western Athletic Conference of the FCS. The Aggies won 60-3 and it was as much of a blowout as physically possible.

I don’t think this game will be the same blowout, but I do think the Texas A&M Football team can match that scoring total. Here’s why.

The primary reason is simple — because they can. Here’s what I mean by this.

Kent State’s defense is absolutely terrible. The Golden Flashes did have the best offense in the entire country in 2020, at least from a statistical standpoint, but their defense was in the bottom ten among all teams. This is even more jarring when you consider the fact that their toughest opponent was Buffalo, a MAC team.

Buffalo dropped 70 points on Kent State.

After being snubbed from the College Football Playoff a year ago, Jimbo Fisher will not hold back when it comes to running up the score. Each game counts, and if the Kent State defense is as bad as it was last season, you can guarantee the Aggies will have another scoring outburst. Heck, they may even come close to their 74-point total in the highest scoring college football game of the modern era a few years ago.
