The Texas A&M football team avoided a 3-3 start after taking down the Alabama Crimson Tide in a historic win. This put them at 4-2 on the season, which gives the Aggies a much more positive outlook on the year.

Some fans expected bowl eligibility already, or at least five wins at this point. That has not been the case, as the Aggies are still slightly behind schedule.

That said, they’ve formed an identity as a team that can make ripples in the college football world. They may not be heading to the College Football Playoff National Championship, but there isn’t a squad in the country that they can’t take down.

And with four wins at the midpoint of the season, Texas A&M is on track to go bowling this season. It shouldn’t come as a surprise — the Aggies have been to a bowl game in every season since 2008.

Which bowl games are the Texas A&M football team projected to appear in for the 2021 season?

The Texas A&M football team projected bowl games will motivate them to perform better for the remainder of the season.

  • CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm has the Texas A&M football team taking on Baylor in the Texas Bowl on January 4th.
  • 247Sports’ projections have Texas A&M taking on Baylor in the Texas Bowl as well.
  • CFN has the Aggies taking on a currently undefeated Wake Forest team in the Taxslayer Gator Bowl on December 31st.
  • FanSided’s Saturday Blitz has the Texas A&M football team taking on NC State in the Mayo Bowl on December 30th.

It’s hard to say that Texas A&M fans will be thrilled about a projected appearance in bowls like the Mayo Bowl or Taxslayer Gator bowl. That said, there’s a lot of football to be played — if the Aggies can take down the mighty Crimson Tide, they likely will not stop there.
