A week ago, the narrative surrounding Zach Calzada and his position with the Texas A&M football team looked much different. The Aggies were on a two-game losing streak after dropping their second consecutive game to the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Now, things look a bit different.

Rather than facing a 3-3 record, as many expected, Jimbo Fisher’s squad was carried to the biggest upset of the year over the Alabama Crimson Tide by Zach Calzada, signifying a shift in momentum on the year.

A shift in momentum creates some question marks around the Texas A&M football team and its starting quarterback position

Right out of the gate, this will create a quarterback controversy. Yes, Zach Calzada gave the Texas A&M football team a win over Alabama, but he also arguably lost the Aggies their previous two games.

As recently as this week, it was reported that Haynes King could potentially miss the entirety of the 2021 season.

This begs the question for Jimbo Fisher’s football team — who will be the starting quarterback when Haynes King returns? Today, I’m going to go over two potential scenarios that could happen upon the Aggie quarterback’s return. Keep in mind the fact that these scenarios are still unlikely, but entirely possible.

The first may surprise you.
