The Texas A&M football team is coming off of an unexpected, emotional victory over Alabama at home. The Aggies dominated a game against the best team in college football in the then-No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide, who hadn’t lost in almost two years.

The Aggies will move on and face a surprisingly threatening Missouri team in a Week 7 matchup that could easily turn into a trap game for Texas A&M.

For Jimbo Fisher’s squad, a close win won’t feel sufficient. The Aggies, if they want to prove themselves as a team that could be the first two-loss College Football Playoff squad, will have to assert their dominance upon the Tigers.

Today, I’m giving three keys to a blowout victory at Missouri.

Key No. 1: The Texas A&M football team needs to get RB Isaiah Spiller going early

On the surface, Texas A&M football RB Isaiah Spiller has had a disappointing year. The Aggie back was thought of as one of the best ball carriers in all of college football — an honor that he hasn’t necessarily lived up to thus far in 2021.

That said, he’s still having the best season of his career. Spiller’s 5.8 yards per carry is a new career high and he’s on track to have his second 1,000-yard season. That said, he hasn’t rushed the ball as frequently as he did in the previous two seasons.

If Texas A&M wants to have another strong offensive performance, they’ll have to get Isaiah Spiller going early. If they do this, it’ll make Zach Calzada’s job much easier, cracking the game wide open for the offense.
