It’s no secret that Texas A&M football fans are some of the most passionate in the sport. It’s part of the reasons why the term “12th man” was coined to refer to the support from the audience throughout the game.

Heck, Gig’em Gazette even got an email detailing why we shouldn’t use the word “cheer” anymore and instead, always say “Yell.” If that’s not dedication to your fandom, I don’t know what is. I’m going to continue to say cheer when appropriate, by the way. I’m a writer, not a Texas Aggie Yell Leader.

Aggie pride was on full display just over a week ago when the Texas A&M football team took down the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. In response to the colossal upset, Texas A&M fans rushed the field, creating a chaotic environment post-game.

Texas A&M football fans gave Alabama head coach Jimbo Fisher a huge bruise on his arm

On Monday, Nick Saban gave his Alabama fans an injury update, but not one in relation to the team. Instead, Saban lifted his arm above the podium in his weekly press conference to reveal a giant bruise on his arm. Here’s what it looks like.

The bruise is continuously being referred to as a “golf ball-sized bruise,” though that would make me question how big the golf balls you’re playing with are. To me, that looks close to the size of a baseball.

Saban noted that he can use this bruise as motivation to perform better down the stretch. Here’s what he said.

"“I’ve still got a big bruise on my arm from the Texas A&M game. I can use that as motivation.”"

Thankfully, Fisher didn’t sustain any significant injuries, though the bruise left behind is somewhat of a mark for how passionate Aggie football fans are. Next time A&M gets a home win, Fisher might have to run for the locker room before the fans can rush the field.
