Reason No. 1: The Texas A&M football team could be favored in every game for the rest of the year

I won’t dwell on the Aggies’ early-season shortcomings, but for a moment, it looked like Texas A&M was destined for a 7-win type of season. After two straight losses and with Alabama on the docket, things were looking bleak.

But Texas A&M beat the odds, which is what great teams do.

Now, after a blowout win over Missouri, Texas A&M finds itself among the best teams in the SEC, a conference with a well-laid-out hierarchy this year. The SEC now has six teams ranked in the AP Top-25, with just two on the Aggies’ remaining schedule.

Those two teams are Auburn, the lowest-ranked SEC team in the AP Poll, and Ole Miss, who has been one of the more impressive teams in college football this year. That said, the Aggies will be favored in their contest against Auburn and if they win that, they should be considered a favorite against Ole Miss.

This is somewhat of a tentative slide though, as there’s still a lot of football to be played. Ole Miss also plays Auburn, so depending on the outcome of that game, they could be favored over the Aggies.

Still, one thing remains consistent — every game for the remainder of the regular season is winnable for the Aggies.
