Texas A&M Football, Upset Team No. 2: No. 10 Oregon (5-1)

I’ve always been skeptical of the Pac-12 and this season hasn’t helped. A Washington team that was supposed to be among the best squads in the country dropped an early game to Montana, scoring just seven points in the contest.

Luckily for the Pac-12, however, Oregon picked up the slack by taking down a third-ranked Ohio State football team. At that point in time, it was the best win in college football. Since then, the Ducks dropped a game to Stanford, which isn’t a particularly great football team.

In that sense, the Ducks and Aggies are a lot alike this season. These two teams hold arguably the two best wins of the season but also have upsetting losses. Who would you give the edge to?

The talent gap argument makes this an interesting contest, with the Aggies ranking 8th and the Ducks ranking 9th. Mario Cristobal and Jimbo Fisher going head-to-head would be one of the best battles of the year.

These programs are in similar places and their seasons have followed a similar trajectory. At the very least, this would be a great contest.
