The Texas A&M football team continues a grueling SEC slate with a relatively easy matchup against South Carolina. The Aggies can’t take a week off, but they’ll have a nice breath of fresh air during a six-week stretch that includes three ranked teams in Alabama, Auburn, and Ole Miss.

While some are referring to South Carolina as a trap game for the Aggies, I think this contest will be far from it. Still, Texas A&M shouldn’t overlook anybody on this year’s SEC schedule.

Today, I’m going to give three bold predictions for Texas A&M against South Carolina, starting with a very broad one.

Bold Prediction No. 1: The Texas A&M football team will score more than 40 points again

The Texas A&M football team’s offense has been rolling as of late. After scoring ten points or fewer against their first two Power Five opponents, the Aggies’ offense has exploded onto the scene, scoring at least 35 against both Alabama and Missouri.

Do I think A&M’s offense has suddenly become the best in college football? No, but these two games have been no fluke.

With some key players returning from injuries, the Aggies are finally getting a sense of stability on the field. With Zach Calzada in a groove and the running game clicking on all cylinders, it’s hard to see a world where the 34th-ranked defense in the country slows them down.

If the Aggies can score 40 points or even 30 for that matter, South Carolina’s 91st-ranked offense will not be able to keep up.
