Bold Prediction No. 4: The Texas A&M football team will hold South Carolina to their lowest scoring total of the year

The dumbest thing you can do before you play an inferior team is to insult them. As an Aggie fansite, however, it’s hard not to have harsh opinions about a team. In this case, my harsh opinion is that South Carolina’s offense is extremely suspect.

This isn’t just my opinion, though — the Gamecocks have the 102nd-ranked offense in the country. If this doesn’t mean much to you, perhaps I should note that there are only 130 teams, which sent me all the way to the last page of NCAA.com to find their positioning.

The other team on the last page? New Mexico, a team that Texas A&M held to just… well, zero points.

So far, nobody has completely limited South Carolina’s offense. Even a menacing Georgia defense allowed 13 points against this squad.

That said, the Gamecocks have struggled to put up an abundance of points against anybody. Between their contests against East Carolina, Troy, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt, South Carolina didn’t manage to score more than 21 points a single time.

The Aggies’ defense will be the second-best the Gamecocks have faced all year long. The only way that they’ll score more than 14 points is if the Aggies’ lead is so big that South Carolina scores in garbage time.
