Texas A&M Football, 5-Star 2022 Prospect No. 1: LB Harold Perkins

First and foremost, I apologize — there are very few images of high school players in our image database, so you’ll be looking at pictures of Jimbo Fisher or the first pair of slides here. That said, Fisher has done a great job recruiting talent, and 2022 is no exception.

And one o the best examples of that is the sheer quantity of 5-star recruits that the Aggie head coach has on his radar.

2022 LB Harold Perkins is the lowest-rated player on this list and he’s the 11th-best player in his class. If that doesn’t attest to the quality of work that Jimbo Fisher has put in on the recruiting trail, I’m not sure what will.

As goes for every player on this list, Perkins is already considered an NFL Draft prospect with an early projection as a second-rounder. At 6’2.5″ and 210 pounds, he’s one of the best all-around athletes in the country, capable of playing virtually any position on the field. At the high school level, he has lined up at both receiver and runningback.

Between his sophomore and junior seasons of high school, he ran a 4.49 40-yard dash. We’re talking about a 15-year-old.

Perkins would be a huge get for an Aggie football team that tends to have its highest-ranked commits on the defensive line. As things stand, he’s considered a lean toward Texas A&M, but anything could happen.
