Once again, I mention the fact that the Texas A&M football team’s defense stood out

Sure, my first slide in this article mentioned the strong performance from the Texas A&M football team. Quite frankly, I don’t care.

The Aggies performed so well in this game that I’m willing to ramble about this defense twice in a single game. Allow me to give you some context.

The Aggies only scored 20 points — only six of these points came via touchdown. Granted, A&M did score on a two-point conversion, but the offense as a whole was disappointing. Instead, HC Jimbo Fisher’s defense did the heavy lifting on Saturday.

A&M’s offense only scored eight points. Where did the rest of the points come from, you ask. Good question — the Aggies had their fair share of field goals, knocking three through the uprights for a total of nine points. Still, that keeps them at single digits.

The rest of their scoring output came from the defense, where A&M scored another defensive touchdown. This one came via strip-sack (Jayden Peevy), which led to Micheal Clemons return for a touchdown. It was a defining moment for this defensive unit.

It wasn’t a blowout win, but A&M’s defense did enough to get a comfortable victory.
