The Texas A&M football program has become a huge destination for recruiting in college football, having every Jimbo Fisher class landing in the top ten according to 247Sports. His 2022 class is no exception thus far.

With a handful of recruits still expected to commit, Fisher has put together the sixth-best class in the country for 2022. This class includes two five-star recruits and 11 four-star recruits and is the third-best in the SEC.

But which players specifically are the best in the class. There’s at least one obvious choice, though a handful could compete for the second spot. Without further ado, here are Texas A&M’s top three recruits, ranked.

Texas A&M Football Commit No. 3: Bobby Taylor may seem like an odd choice for No. 3, but his work on the recruiting trail has paid dividends

Before I get too far into the work that four-star Bobby Taylor has put in as a player-recruiter for the Aggies, it’s important that I don’t diminish anything that he’s capable of doing on the football field.

The Texas A&M cornerback commit is among the best at his position in the country, ranking 154th overall according to 247Sports. Even though he gets lost in the shuffle of elite football players from the state of Texas, Taylor is still a top-20 cornerback in the nation.

The 6’1″ Katy, Texas corner has the size to be elite at his position. A&M competed with Auburn, Alabama, and a handful of other elite schools to secure this commitment. And boy, it has paid dividends.

Taylor describes himself as a “recruit-turned-recruiter” and is constantly trying to improve A&M’s 2022 class. Here’s a full quote from Taylor earlier this year.

"“Getting all those guys on campus, it was business, to me, at the end of the day. I see this as my class and I’m trying to build it to be one of the best classes that A&M has ever had and being able to get those guys on campus this past weekend, those are some of our top guys.”"

With guys like Taylor committed to the team, Jimbo Fisher’s job gets a lot easier. That said, the next commit may not be such a benefit to the coaching staff, but he is as exciting as they come.
