The Texas A&M football team’s original goals for 2021 may be out of reach, but the Aggies’ football season is far from over. Texas A&M can still keep itself on the map with some convincing wins to close out the season.

A&M’s two remaining games include what should be an easy win against Prairie View A&M and a tough road contest against an LSU team that, despite shortcomings, will be extremely motivated to play a strong football game in Coach Ed Orgeron’s last game.

To give this season a successful feel, one of Jimbo Fisher’s primary goals should be to develop his young players. Today, I’m going to talk about three young players to watch throughout the remainder of the Aggies’ season.

Texas A&M Football Player No. 1: Can WR Caleb Chapman stay healthy?

Caleb Chapman will be unique to the rest of the players on this list. Why? Primarily because he’s not very young at all.

In fact, despite having played in just ten total games in his Texas A&M career, it’s Chapman’s fourth season in College Station. Injuries have derailed every single non-redshirt season of his career, but when healthy, Chapman can be an elite deep-threat wide receiver.

The primary storyline to watch here is whether or not he can stay healthy for the remainder of his redshirt junior year. As things stand, the five games that he has suited up for in 2021 are a new career-high. If he can stay healthy for the remainder of this season, maybe he’ll get into a groove that lasts through the 2022-23 year.
