The Texas A&M football team has been among the top schools in the nation when it comes to recruiting over the past few years. Every full Jimbo Fisher-recruited class has finished in the top ten of 247Sports’ rankings and his most recent class is the best yet.

The 2022 class, which will arrive on campus to play next season, has been shooting up the same rankings that I just referenced. A few weeks ago, the Aggies’ class was sitting outside of the top ten looking in — now, Fisher is fighting against Georgia for the top spot in the nation.

After a strong month of November and a great start to December, the Aggies have brought in more than a handful of talented players to College Station. Today, I’m ranking A&M’s top five commits in the 2022 class.

Texas A&M Football Commit No. 5: 4-star CB Bobby Taylor

This first player will be the biggest surprise on the list. In a recruiting class with four five-star players and 11 players ranked above Taylor in the class, why have I chosen this middle-tier four-star as my fifth-best player in the 2022 class?

It’s simple — Taylor has been a big part of why the 2022 class has been so successful.

Well-known as a recruit-turned-recruiter, Taylor hasn’t just been sitting idly by since committing to play for Texas A&M in February of this year. Instead, he’s been actively taking extra visits and pushing other players to join him in College Station.

While Taylor may take slightly longer to develop than a handful of the players you’ll see on this list, his work ethic leads you to believe that he’s a lock to become a superstar by the end of his college football career.
