Reason No. 2: The Texas A&M football team has better pieces on offense than Texas

Even though the Aggies have not played promising offense recently, there is an undeniably large amount of talent on the roster.

With returning wide receivers like Caleb Chapman, Demond Demas, and Ainias Smith, there will be no lack of targets for Ewers in College Station. The Aggies will also be bringing in the third-overall prospect and top-overall wide receiver in the 2022 class in Evan Stewart who could fortify this receiving corps.

The Aggies’ offensive line was inexperienced heading into 2021 and will likely lose Kenyon Green to the NFL Draft, but it will return most of its starters from this season. Ewers will be well-protected.

The only area that one would give the advantage to the Longhorns is at the runningback position, where Texas has Bijan Robinson, one of the best backs in the country. That said, A&M could lose Isaiah Spiller but has Devon Achane ready to step into the starting role. For reference, Achane was third in the country in yards per carry while Robinson ranked 35th.

At worst, offensive talent is a wash between these two programs. At least the Aggies have the defense to back it up.
