Texas A&M Football Impact Player No. 4: WR Evan Stewart

Evan Stewart is the third freshman on this list and somebody who could potentially have the biggest impact on the team when all is said and done.

Granted, Texas A&M had issues on the offensive line and at the quarterback spot, but the Aggies didn’t have a truly elite wide receiver in 2021. Ainias Smith was reliable but has always been more of a slot option. Stewart could fill into the role that’s been missing.

Stewart is a hyper-athletic 6’0″ wide receiver out of Frisco, Texas. He’s 247Sports’ top receiver, playing at a position that often lends itself to the possibility of having impact freshmen. In an overall below-average WR corps, Stewart can really separate himself in 2022.

Texas A&M Football Impact Player No. 5: RB Devon Achane

Of all of the players on this list, Devon Achane is the only one that I would personally guarantee (barring any sort of injury) will have a great 2022 season. The Aggie runningback has been nothing but elite in the maroon and white so far, rushing for 1,274 yards and 13 touchdowns in his first couple of seasons.

With Isaiah Spiller opting out of his senior season for the NFL Draft, Achane will become the workhorse back for this Texas A&M football team.

Achane has been near the top of the country in yards per carry since breaking onto the scene in Aggieland last season. With more rushes next season, his number could drop slightly, but he should continue to be one of the nation’s most efficient ball carriers.

Achane could be one of the best in the country next year.
