The Texas A&M football team’s elite prospects who are enrolling early could disrupt the SEC as we know it

Conner Weigman, 5-star QB: Without a doubt, Weigman is the most exciting prospect that will be joining A&M in 2022. The five-star quarterback cemented himself as arguably the best passer in high school football last season and will be immediately competing for the starting job. His early enrollment will be huge for his positioning in this quarterback competition. We’ll get our first look at him during the spring game in a few months.

Denver Harris, 5-star CB: I’ve already talked about two top-160 cornerbacks in this class and somehow, neither of them come close to the talent level of this one. Denver Harris is the prototypical build for a corner at 6’1″. He’s the third-ranked CB in his class and will also benefit from having some experience in the secondary around him. He should do well in 2022, but 2023 could be a wildly explosive season for him.

Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy, 5-star DL: Brownlow-Dindy was a late and unexpected commitment to the Aggies after decommitting from Oklahoma and flipping to the Aggies in early December. As soon as a month later, he’s ready to pack up and head to College Station, where he could immediately fill into DeMarvin Leal’s empty slot. Because of the timing of his arrival, GBD could have a huge impact in his first year. At 6’3″ and 280 pounds, size won’t be an issue for him.

Evan Stewart, WR and top-6 overall prospect: If you want my pick for a player who will have the best freshman year statistically, Stewart is your guy. The Aggies haven’t had a true playmaker at wide receiver and with Stewart, the best receiver in the 2022 class, they may have found their guy. He’ll likely take some time to settle in, but expect him to be one of the biggest names in the SEC by the time he wraps up his freshman year with the Aggies.
