The Texas A&M football team has a handful of players who will be selected in the 2022 NFL Draft. In all likelihood, Jalen Wydermyer and Isaiah Spiller will be two big names with a handful of defensive players like Leon O’Neal Jr. and DeMarvin Leal leading the charge on the other side of the ball.

Offensively, one guy could be a very early pick in this year’s draft.

I’m talking about Kenyon Green, who has been the best player on the Texas A&M football team for three years. The versatile Aggie offensive lineman is coming off of back-to-back All-American selections in the past two seasons and is looking to take his talents to the NFL.

Where is Texas A&M football’s star offensive lineman Kenyon Green landing in mock drafts?

Generally speaking, Kenyon Green is a consensus first-round pick — this will show up in mock drafts and, in all likelihood, on draft day. That said, he has slid to a lower position in the first round than anticipated before this season.

I don’t know why this would happen — Green played elite football and as mentioned, earned All-American honors for the second consecutive season. On an offensive line that was decimated by injuries, Green showed off his versatility by playing a significant amount of football at all four non-center positions.

Here’s where media outlets have Kenyon Green being taken.

• Fansided’s NFL Mocks sees Green taken with the 24th pick to the Dallas Cowboys, a team that has had historically strong front lines. This mock draft also has DeMarvin Leal being taken in the first round.
• CBS Sports’ latest mock draft has Green being selected with the 20th overall pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
• SportingNews predicts Kenyon Green to be taken at the 25th overall pick by the Cincinnati Bengals.
• NBC Sports has Kenyon Green being taken earlier than most other outlets, being picked up by the Baltimore Ravens with the 14th overall pick.

As you can see, Green is generally projected to land somewhere between the mid and late portion of the first round of the NFL Draft. That said, without being at a flashy position, he is a player who could end up being taken earlier than these media projections.

Expect Green to be one of the first linemen off of the board, potentially being taken as early as the top ten of the first round.
