The Texas A&M basketball team keeps the good times rolling with a shocking upset over No. 5 Auburn

Just moments ago Texas A&M completed a massive upset over the #1 team in the SEC Auburn with the final score of 67-62. A&M did an excellent job locking down some of Auburn’s key players in an overall excellent team effort offensively and defensively. After the game, Buzz Williams was extremely complimentary of Auburn.

"They’re arguably one of the most talented teams not only in our league, but in our country, and I think that’s selfless to say that they only lost three road games in conference play. Their talent overwhelms you, and it’s hard to decide how you’re going to play them, because once you choose something, you’re giving up something on the back side. They really did a great job on the offensive glass in the first half; we were a little better in the second half. Very fortunate to be able to hang on to close it down."

Confidence is oozing from the defensive side of the ball for this team as they caused multiple turnovers against UF and Auburn resulting in extra chances on the offensive side of the board.

A&M will play the winner of Arkansas vs LSU tomorrow for a chance to play in the SEC championship game. Big shout out to Buzz Williams and the team for putting on a very exciting show for everyone in Tampa as Texas A&M has been the highlight of the last 2 days.

  • Henry Coleman III: 16 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists
  • Quenton Jackson: 17 points, 2 blocks, 1 steal
