The recruiting trail is hot right now for Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M football. After landing multiple high-profile recruits over the last month, their most recent addition came Saturday, in offensive lineman Naquil Betrand. Could another recruit be on the verge of committing to College Station?

According to Hykeem Williams, he will be announcing his commitment date in the near future. Williams is a top-20 overall recruit in the 2023 class and is ranked as the #2 receiver in the entire country, by the 247sports composite.

The five-star is a 6’3, 200-pound pass-catcher from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and is seemingly getting an idea of where he wants to go to school. Williams currently has a final six list of schools, which includes Texas A&M, Alabama, Florida State, Pittsburgh, Miami, and Georgia.

Williams has visited College Station a couple times, the most recent time being in June. Since that unofficial visit, he has taken official visits to Georgia and Pittsburgh. The Florida product currently has a visit scheduled to Texas A&M for the Miami game on September 17th, so a commitment can be expected up to a month after that.

Currently, there isn’t much of an idea of where Williams could be leaning. Rivals has one prediction for the receiver, which was made on August 6th, to Florida State. As far as the other recruiting sites, no predictions or crystal balls have been made since June, and all of those predictions were for the Aggies.

Jimbo Fisher has all the momentum on his side, hauling in multiple four-stars and a five-star over the past few weeks. I would not expect Fisher to take this recruitment any lighter than it has been. Williams would be a huge pickup for the class and could start up another string of commitments for the team, it could also help lure a highly ranked quarterback in Malachi Nelson, who is already spending more time at College Station than his current school would like.
